This necklace is called ‘Always in my heart’, in honor and memory of the loss of a child and the love for this child. The necklace it is a token, something tangible, for the mother to hold on to.
We hope this necklace will bring comfort to grieve and sorrow and gives a feeling of healing, positivity and warm loving.
A ruby gemstone gives protection and healing to the heart, it stimulates mental power and radiates love and positive energy. A ruby dispels melancholy and is good against fatigue. It also harmonizes hormones and brings warmth and peace.

It was Kirsty Nagel who asked me to make this piece and motivated me to bring this to other mothers that experienced the loss of a child. Together we decided on this design; a heart with a little ruby.
I have been thinking about making this piece for a long time but hesitated because I want to do it right and it is a vulnerable topic. Doing Mother-Kids jewelry now for almost a decade and over the years multiple customers requested or bought a bracelet or necklace to remember the loss of a child, miscarriage, stillborn.
Lois Kruidenier wrote a beautiful poem in Dutch to accompany this necklace.

The ‘Always in my heart’necklace is 40-45 cm (15,75-17,72 inches) and adjustable between these two lengths.

We solely use precious metals. Our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver or 18-Karat sustainably sourced (RJC-certified) gold plating with a sterling silver base.
